This one's for SNS

Yep I down loaded this Digi from Sweet n Sassy yesterday, I love the image and had just the right DSP to put in on. Basic Grey's new paper pack Wow I really like it, and I colored my image last night with Copic's. I started with SU card stock base, DSP, then Razberry, Kraft, then white. I used Martha Stewart border punch and then a whole row of gold brads to accent the borders. The salutation says ' You make my heart sing'.
Inside the card I used more of the Basic Grey paper, a white sheet, a brown TAC pre-made border with the salutation 'Happy Anniversary.' Don't forget to join SNS for the blog hop and fun times.
Many thoughts and prayers going out to my good friends.
God Bless,

Magnolia Madness Part II

Well I have had a good time with these Magnolia's. This on was really quick and easy because I used the Scor-pal on the SU card stock Pretty in Pink, I colored my image with Copic's and then stamped out TAC's Always Remember stamp set for accents.
This card is done with the SEI DSP Madeline I love this paper and I used the SU border punch on the edge SU ribbon and I was done.

Looks like I'm on a pink and brown kick with my cards today but you know what its my second favorite color combo. I used DSP The Paper Studio's Coco & Pink I used my Justrite stamps for this salutation added some SU ribbon, a felt flower and I was finished. Only a few more to go since I promised Sandy 20 Magnolia cards for her missionary friends.
Wow its not pink whats with this card well I had to shock you all somehow. I colored my image with Copic's, SU Jersy Shore DSP, the card stock is Mellow Moss by SU and Pumpkin Pie and I used SU Circle of Friendship stamp set for the circle salutation. The flower is made with SU felt flowers and a brad.
I know your thinking she sure does crank these cards out but I have a system to making cards and I'll share with you. I usually find my image or stamp and image then I go through my papers and match up 2-3 colors. I roughly cut 6 X 4 pieces of paper or use scraps and put them together in a plastic empty Stampin Up box. Later after dinner I usually sit with Mom and that's when I pull out an image with the card stock, pick my Copic pens to match and color. When its done I put the finished image and card stock into a manila envelope and it goes down to my studio to await putting it all together. Now I admit once that point comes its strictly free style I don't use patterns or sketches.
Ok I'm done babbling the snow has been a blessing for me because I have been hanging out in my Studio just playing all day. Mom checks in every so often and I come up to check on her but she mostly just sits on the couch all day long and watches TV (really she catnaps) till dinner time. It's been raining for the past day so this snow 4 inches has turned to heavy snow and ice. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,

Easel Card

I took a break from the Magnolia cards to do these Easel cards that were featured on SCS. They are so easy to make and such a delight to pose for picture taking. I used SU Going gray card stock for my base then I added SEI Madeline DSP. The Butterflies are Royal Langnickel Rub on's, I used K & Co. silver beads, Martha Stewart border punch, SU dog tag punch with Whimsical Words salutation from SU. I used SU Heard from the heart stamp set on Going Gray card stock and silver brads.
The second easel card is SU Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Paper Studio DSP, Vintage Vogue stamp set. I also put on the flower but couldn't tell you where I got it from, I brayered some Chocolate card stock for even more texture on the card. The lace ribbon I bought at Walmart years ago and I was hording it but pulled it out for this one of a kind card. I loved making these cards and will use the design again real soon.
Have a wonderful day and a great evening.

Jeanine

More Magnolia's

Yep I sure had fun with all these Magnolia's, they kinda grow on you. This on is made with SU Certainly Celery base then I added SEI Madeline DSP that I just love it has shiny all over it. Then I used my Copic's to color I put Best Wishes from the SU Vintage Vogue stamp set some ribbon I've had forever and two Prima flowers and two flower brads that I colored blue with my Copics.

My second card is some of my most favorite paper from SU. Everything on this card is SU except the 3 mini pearls under the salutation.

Wow I got carried away with the SU More Mustard, I was trying to make a chair for her to sit on. I used some SU paper some K & Co. paper, brads a big SU eyelet, SU ribbon and again some rare ribbon.

Ok I used my spellbinder dies and let this Magnolia sit on some branches I colored with Copic's. The DSP is SU's Jersey Shore and the base color is SU Mellow Moss. I still have four more to post but I'll hold off until tomorrow to draw some suspense. Now isn't that a kick in the butt is no one wanting to take the time to write comments? What do I have to do to get people to make a comment? I guess that's why I get so lax a daisy about the materials I use I just feel like I'm talking to myself. This is suppose to be relaxing but I stress out because I feel like no one is looking. I look for acceptance because my Mom never really accepted me, I don't do rejection well but have gotten use to it. I know that I shouldn't worry about what other people think, I do though .
Well its Wednesday already and the time is flying by, I got a call from a sales lady in Georgia today about a 21 foot used RV. It sure sounded nice until she got to the price of $49,500 as I was choking she politely said oh is that more than you wanted to spend? Heck fire I want to travel but not it gold.....how do people do this traveling thing they must have won the lottery or something. Just think about it you need to buy the RV, the insurance, the gas to drive it, the campground fees etc., etc., ecetera!
Have a nice evening.
God Bless,
Jeanine

Magnolia Madness

Since I love to make cards just for the heck of it and I've made over 500 cards for Operation Write Home a friend of mine asked me to make some Magnolia cards for some missionary friends of hers, ask and ye shall receive. So for the past few days I have been busy matching papers, coloring these images with Copic's, then pulling ribbons bows, buttons and embellishments to finish them off. Now I don't know the Magnolia girls official names but what difference does it make I made 19 and ran out of images so.....This first card is my favorite I used DSP from SU, Martha Stewart border punch, Stitch-in-Time rub on stitches, a flower from Prima and the salutation 'Thinking of you'.

I wish you could see this paper close up its shining and so precious. Its called SEI Madeline and its so pretty its shining and looks beautiful. I used SU Silver paper, SU ribbon, SU double oval punches and a tiny little blue flower.

Here is more of the SEI Madeline paper only with pinks or coral. I used some SU silver for accents and a Spellbinder die cut. The SU scalloped punch, silver brad and the stamp set Riveting.
The last card is made with Pink Paislee paper some SU cardstock as for the metal flower oh my I've had that for about 6 years and don't have a clue where its from. The salutation was found in a drawer I have of greetings and I just pulled it out.
I'll have more for you tomorrow I have errands to run and if the weather holds out I'm going to make a surprise visit to the nursing home in Collegedale. Have a great week and remember your in my thoughts.
God Bless,
Jeanine

Weekends here!!

Yep I love the SAB program with SU so I made a big order a few weeks ago and I got so many new toys to play with punches, stamp sets, embossing folders wow what fun. The first card I made is an individual stamp from the new mini catalog called Here's how much I like you. I used SU white card stock as my base then DPS from SU in red, then DSP in white. I put the image on red with Stazon and using a Martha Stewart punch I layered Navy in there added some punch hearts that I used Glassy Glaze on, I tied some SU ribbon up top and check off "I'm over you." to finish it off.
I used navy as my base added a piece of kitchen baking wrap that I ran through the Big Shot added a white Top Note all SU colored Ellie with Copic's W1, W3, W5, R81, R27 and took the letters from MS's punch 'Thanks" that I got at Michael's for $3.00 on clearance.

My last card is a birthday card using my new SU bird punch from the new Mini catalog. I used SU cardstock Kraft, Bashful blue, Real red, the journal paper came in a swap I did years ago. I punch the branches out of the same colors I used on the birds with a MS punch.
I've been on a roll lately with these punches I have so many punches so I've been weeding out my Studio and putting stuff for sale on Craig's list. I sold my Coluzzle and my punch set this past week but still have over 30 SU sets for sale. I need to get this all straighten out so when I buy that RV and put all my stuff in storage I won't have to put many stampin things away I'll be a travelin stamper.
Well everyone (now that's a joke since I hardly ever get comments but I do see the Visitor count going up) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that your blessed beyond compare.
God Bless,
Jeanine

Tuesday and still makin cards

I made this cute little card using an old SU stamp set and some DSP from Desserts. I like the rick rack on the card and there is a verse up on the top that says Best Wishes but the camera didn't pick that up.
Well I'm still on the chicken set thats retired from SU. I used Paper Studio's DSP and I love these two colors together, I also love Blue & Brown but this was fun and I used a little rick rack and a chipboard button with ribbon.
My second card is SU cardstock Chocolate chip and textured Pretty in Pink. I believe the DSP is more of the Paper Studio I got from Michael's. I'll never get rid of this retired stamp set because I use it for alot of cards.

I did get a bunch of the SAB sets and bought alot of SU goodies. I love the new punches and I needed some cardstock so what better time to put in an order for SU.
Everyone have a wonderful week and remember God doesn't give you any more than you can handle, now I personally think he thinks I can handle anything and I'm stressed!
God Bless

I played.....

This image I got from Sandy oh she loves the Magnolia's so she shares with me. I love pink and brown so this paper from Paper Studio's Coco & pink is just my style. I used Copic's to color the young lady and a dog tag from Eyelet Outlet that says 'Love You'. I distressed the paper and loved the flowers with heart brads from Eyelet Outlet also.
This card is also using Paper Studio paper but its an old SU set that I love to work with. I colored the image with Copic's there wasn't much to color but I still love the paper and the final card.
I have been in my Studio for the past two days trying to get out of this boo hoo poor me syndrome. Well I have made a bunch of card and it takes my mind off my problems but my train of though just keeps changing one minute I'm making Valentine cards then I'm making Easter cards, heck I got the stuff out to make a Star book and then I got on the Internet and the next thing I know it was time for me to be at my short order cook job. Lately Mom hasn't been happy with what I make for dinner so since she is losing so much weight I feel like I have to make something she will eat. So I've surrendered to TV dinners since she doesn't eat much but heck she can't even tell you whats she's eating. Her memory is so bad and I can see that it is effecting her more and more each day she feels totally lost and dependent because she doesn't even know what time it is, her eye sight is gone and she is legally blind. Life is wonderful but once I get to the point where I have to depend on someone I want to go home, I don't want to be a burden to anyone. Ok I've said enough this blog is more of a journal for me lately instead of a fun thing.
God Bless all of you and know your in my thoughts and prayers.

Quick & Easy Cards

These cards are quick and easy to make thanks to Club Scrap. I bought all of these images and verses at the Tennessee Stampers Retreat that I attended two years ago. Nancy Walker was selling them in our annual Yard Sale. In cleaning up the Studio I found them and knew they would be wonderful for "Operation Write Home" cards. I have this obsession about making cards for the soldiers so I am averaging 75 cards a month to them. Gotta fill my time since I'm kinda stuck at home being a caretaker for mom. Someday I won't have an excuse to make all these cards because I'll be on my journey in my RV. Heck at the rate I'm going I'm using all this extra stuff that I have horded for the past 3-4 years so I won't have to put it in storage, but that's another story.

Today I got a phone call that I have been dreading from my Pulmonary doctor. I did a test last week wearing a oxygen tester while I slept. I'm also suppose to wear a C-Pap but I don't because I just can't sleep with it on so since my last surgery I quit wearing it. They say I stop breathing 7-9 times in a 8 hour period and if I don't wear it I won't have to worry about breathing at all. Well Meredith called and the doctor has ordered my C-Pap increased and oxygen during the night. Well I told Meredith I hadn't been using the C-Pap that's probably why the oxygen levels were so low and her response to me was "Ok then good luck" and she hung up. Right now I'm weak in the knees and my heart is pounding. I sleep like a rock at night on my Temperpedic mattress and feel wonderful in the morning I just don't feel like anythings wrong. Guess I need to re-evaluate my priorities or I won't need the RV to travel in.

God Bless you all, your in my heart and prayers. Jeanine

Life Update

Can you tell I'm not stamping much? Just putting together some cards to try to keep busy. It hasn't been a good week for me and so I'm being a little withdrawn. I do that when things start falling in all around me. It's personal and I'm not ready to share so for right now I'll post some cards I made and if anyone needs info on them send me an email and or leave a comment and I'll get you the information you'll need.

Whipper Snapper images with all SU cardstock and DSP.

Another SU Playday!

Is this not beautiful and its such a simple little card. First Saturday of every month I get to go to Brenda's for Stampin UP play day and I made some really cute stuff this month. I don't sell SU anymore but I still love the stuff so I enjoy going to learn new ideas. Brenda is a happy go lucky lady that makes everyone laugh so its never a dull moment.
The first card is Very Vanilla with a embossed Pretty in Pink layer, we then used the beautiful new border punch from the Sale-a-bration (love this amazing little delicate punch. We layered the new Sending Love Specialty paper in the new SU Occasions mini catalog, then we tied the new satin red ribbon on. Last step was to stamp two hearts from the 'Always' Stamp Set on Very Vanilla in Real Red ink. We cut them out and Wow so very cute!!!
The second card is made out of Mellow Moss (I know that the picture looks greener but it is) I used the new Scallop Trim border punch that you can earn free during the Sale-a-bration with SU. I'm afraid I wasn't paying attention to the name of the DSP we used but we used the new SU satin ribbon in Certainly Celery and then used the new 'Garden from the Heart' stamp set in the new mini catalog. I used watercolor pencils to color my hat and gloves then cut them out and adhered them with pop dots. I forgot to stamp a salutation but again the card is so precious.

The third and four project we made were quick and simple little treats for your co-workers, neighbor kids, students or whoever. We used the Whoo's Your Valentine? SU Stamp set. We used Pretty in pink stamped the circle that says 'I am a sucker for you!' punched out the circle center put a sucker in the cardstock and all done. The 'Chew, chew, I like you!' package is a cello bag full of goodies with a Top Note die cut. We folded the top note in half then stamped the train, we colored it with Stamp write pens and attached it together with a stapler.
Like I said before Brenda is a hoot and I really enjoy the camaraderie of the other 6 or 7 other ladies that attend the Play day. I think SU is moving in the right direction with all their new products and it must be an exciting time for the SU demo's. Gotta scoot but I'll try to be back sooner, I know I haven't been posting very regularly lately but I'm dealing with some personal stuff right now but I'll be better honest.
God Bless.
